Technical Designer Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Designer to join our growing team. As our Technical Designer, you will help us transform our bedding and home goods from concept to completion. Your primary duties will include reviewing design work, developing a plan with our factory partners, and ensuring that finished products meet our quality standards. You will develop products for our family of brands, including HiEnd Accents, Paseo Road, Indigo Hill, and Saturday Linens. Technical Designer Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our Creative Team, Sales Team, Sourcing Team, manufacturers, vendors, and clients to ensure that product specifications are viable
- Analyze designs and determine required resources and project deadlines
- Manage the product development timeline to ensure seasonal goals are met, creating PD calendars and ensuring team members adhere to them
- Implement design changes and make contingency plans as necessary
- Establish quality control standards and enforce them throughout all phases of the product development cycle. Communicate any corrections or QC issues with our factories
- Track and review new samples and regularly update product development sheets
- Create and manage spec sheets, tech packs, and detailed construction sheets to send to our suppliers
- Review and approve samples and production
- Perform QC checks to ensure high-quality standards are met
- Manage and organize samples meticulously, ensuring the workspace is clean and orderly
- Ensure clear and consistent communication between all stakeholders to facilitate smooth product development
